Jennifer Compton Lambert has been Director of Bands at River Trail Middle School in Johns Creek, Georgia since 2007. Under her direction, the River
Trail Bands have consistently earned superior ratings in performance evaluations and the River Trail Symphonic Band has appeared as a guest performing
ensemble at the 2010 Georgia Music Educators In-Service Conference and the 2011 University of Georgia Middle School Band Festival. In 2013, the
River Trail Symphonic Band performed at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Lambert began her teaching career in 2003 as the Assistant Director of Bands at Woodstock High School, Woodstock, Georgia. She received her
Bachelor’s degree in 2002 in Music Education from Berry College, where she studied trumpet with Dr. William Robison and Dr. Thomas Smith. In 2007, she
completed her Master’s degree in Music Education and in 2016 received her Doctor of Education from the University of Georgia.
Her professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, Georgia Music Educators Association, Phi Beta Mu, International
Trumpet Guild, Sigma Alpha Iota, and Omicron Delta Kappa.
Additionally, Dr. Lambert has served as a guest clinician and conductor throughout Georgia and was awarded the Citation of Excellence from the National
Band Association in 2010 and 2012 for her contribution to music education.
Dr. Lambert resides in Cumming, Georgia with her husband and daughter.
